Looking great, Glenn! I find it odd that no one across the pond attempted to use other brands of struts before. Regardless, looks as if you have a very nice setup now! I'm also digging the footwell lighting. Is that a kit or did you piece together components?
Can't find where I bought them from, but here's a pic of location. I wired them up to BCM output, work just like dome light
Just under glove box..

Above pedals..

Found these while looking, think they look nice. Their pics show nice illumination http://www.ebay.com/itm/151544786496?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Haven't driven the SpitFORD bout year now, got another battery, moved it from the passengers foot well to up front in what's left of the oem location. Nothing has been there since the fuel surge tank needed for the Hilborn Injection. So any who, the clutch has been giving me problems, bled it but no improvements. Seems to be dragging, holding the input shaft hostage, more so when cold, gets better as warms up, but still willn't take a fast shift. I have to wait for the rpm to come back to trans speed. No problem disengaging with engine off, rolls just fine with clutch in and while running engages about 1inch or so off floor, so pulling it for further inspection....some various pics of the operation...some will show how close tolerance this engine is to frame and me.

Console cover off, rear brake bias valve/parking brake

Old school cast iron, TopLoader from '64 Galaxie big block, close ratio

CenterForce clutch

Here we have the remote filter and cooler

Daylight from above..

Lakewood Blow Proof for leg protection, heavy but worth it..

Been in since '05, maybe 4k mile, not easy one either..

Looking good pressure side..

Flywheel side just as good..

Few little spots on flywheel insert.

Drive shaft..

This shows how the front cross frame notched out for damper clearance..mine the rust, it is 35years old

Peering up past the starter

Here the headers get together before collector, the passenger's feet are on the other side

The new oil pan I installed 2yrs ago, will require removal to replace starter

So after all this I only find a dry disc/input shaft spline and pilot bearing with less grease than I'd like to see. Probably installed it with only the grease it comes with...oh well live and learn

There's something great about those RS lamps despite being chrome. Maybe just quality by association? If you're up for the challenge, you could open those headlamps and paint the inserts to match the wheels, which look fantastic.

Like the sound of that but haven't ever opened up headlamps, tried once with a old one but without great success, maybe not enough heat or time in oven. I do have a spare RS lamp to try the color change on.

On another forum, was asked what cars I have owned, thought I'd post it here too..

If my memory is correct, had to sit down in my time machine, (not a Delorean, worked on them never owned)
1971:16years old

1958 Renault 4CV, first car that I learned how to choke a carb with cardboard, bought for $100, got side swiped, insurance paid me $200, cut damage off with axe and kept driving;)
1962 Renault Dauphine (2) one sunroof, one not. Winter was fun, the throatle cable to the rear engine would freeze up from water, cruise control free
1966 Mustang, 6cyl, 4sp, Richard Petty Blue with flat black hood, lost it with first friend with benefits in back seat
1966 Mustang, 289ci, auto. Had to buy it from the used car lot I stole it from trip to Mexico with girlfriend whose parents didn't want use together(plus 2 others), everyone in the neighborhood knew where I stashed it, repainted lime green with 12 cans, added side pipes and 5spoke mags. How they found out is a completely different story.
1969 Fairlane Cobra, 428CJ, first engine I rebuilt, with some help from Dad, second choice of cars between it and a '69 AMC Javelin AMX. Dad said get the Cobra=I love my Dad
1973 Mercury Capri, 2.8 v6, car I bought with some intro $$ going into the ARMY, Ft Campbell, Ky AirBorn Battalion

1976: Now I'm married, first was a boy, 2 more kids later...kinda like the Bundies

1965 Mustang, 351CJ 4speed
1968 Mustang GT, 390 4speed, rear frame rails kinda rusty, so after some time started looking for a good body to transfer drive line
1967 Fairlane GTA, bought the whole complete car from salvage yard, put my built 390 with C6 auto
1968 Mustang GT, swapped the motor again, but bought and built a 428SCJ with 427 HighRiser heads and intake...car could pull stumps up

While I didn't have just one, theres the daily drivers, some not proud of, some I was

1965 mercury Comet, 289 Auto
1972 Chrysler New Yorker=porker
1971 Pontiac Gran Prix, one nice ride

1979: more Fords..

1967 Mustang GTA Coupe, blue white vinyl top, 289 then later 351CJ
1980 Ford Fiesta, Orange, traded my boat, which I traded my '68 GT/428 for :(
1980 Ford Fiesta ST, Yellow, put a but load of performance in this one, then traded for TR8
1980 Ford Fiesta, Green
1979 Ford Fiesta, Red,,,,looked like a Fiesta lot, seeing all 4 at my house
1980 Triumph TR8, with blower coming through hood, Epsilon 3piece wheels
1972 Triumph Spitfire, this is now 1984 when I started this v8 project, rolling 2years later, one divorce as a result

1985: Moved to Dallas from Huntsville Alabama

1985 NEW Merkur XR4Ti, 2.3 turbo auto(purpose was to pull the SpitFord to events)lost in divorce
1989 NEW Mustang Saleen, fun for 2yrs till stolen, Karma sucks...
2001 Dodge Durango SLT, bought for wife 2 but had to choose which one to keep, I like cars...
1989 Merkur XR4Ti, built up engine and a A4LD to replace the C3, have kept installing RS parts for it since 2004, bought a Cosworth driveline from '92 model, had shipped from England while I was in the middle of building the Focus RS Clone
1988 Merkur bought and later sold
1987 Merkur for parts

2003: New year

2003 NEW Focus SVT, Orange EAP package , at 6k miles put a Vortec SuperCharger system on, flipped it in 05, bought back from insurance, stripped, moved S/C to new SVT
2004 Focus SVT. Black EAP package, 6900 miles, flew to Philly to drive back to Dallas, drove up on Skyline Drive in the Rocky mountains, after 90miles of sawing back and forth, just missing the deer, I had to get off and back on the interstate heading home, installed the S/C on this one too
2004 Focus SVT, Blue EAP package, gotta love them, bought this after a 90 yr old pulled in front of my Black one, again bought back from insurance, bought a 02 donor ZX3 to build the RS MK1 from using as much RS parts as I could get, the wiring from the SVT, engine, RS trans, the rest is history, 9months later the RS Clone is born.
2002 Focus ZX3, donor car

Now it's 2015, driving the Focus RS clone and Sierra RS Clone as daily,(Sierra close to getting paint) SpitFord every so often.

I've still yet to hear the burble of those pipes Glenn.

The colour you picked (Mk3) ..Yep!

That's the colour I'd choose...most of the FORD range have been dipped into the usual pot of standard colours>note I spelt that correctly<Mine being no different... I once encountered a dolphin grey ST.

That was 3 yrs ago...I was confident that RS could better that..

No lamps were rubbed during this post,,,

Chris, Sorry I haven't posted a sound track of the Magnex exhaust, its not as loud as expected. The FRS makes lots more, but I need to post that one too. I don't have a Go Pro, been thinking of duct tape my cell phone to the back bumper and rip down the back roads somewhere:D

I told him that if he got to see all three of your cars in person, I'd probably make a (failed) attempt at his life out of pure jealousy.

I'm not too certain he was worried.

No worries mate...I'll expect to wait at least the same time as you waited patiently for those parts.

Been busy with locating a new donor car..and working on remodeling house..that I haven't posted in some time.

To catch up, I used the Cossie clone to prune some of those nasty trees that keep us from seeing the forest...

BAD NEWS.....Going Going....GONE

Hate to post bad stuff...but as we say here in Tx....$#!* happens...the month of February wasn't nice

Day after I drove a Lamborghini Gallardo at work, better than sex, out making a burger run I got to confident and increased my corning speed by 30% at one corner I loved to cut the apex and feel the car lift and settle back down....well this time at near 60 it didn't settle. Rear end lifted to the point of no weight to grip road, tail end came around.....felt like slow motion but after 300ft crossed the curb, pruned 2 trees and shrubs in the median and landed heading same direction but other side of road, still drove it home(1/4 mile).

Damage, one badly twisted car, one bent strut, blown rear tire, cord busted on 2others, one good but they don't make them no more. MO6's bent, one untouched, right side wheels bent off center, RS bumper toast but I can rebuild it.

Trying to decide if I've got the ambition to do this again, lot of dog work, will need excellent donor car to consider, strip clean, transfer all to another car...or part out. Got the MK1 RS and a 2016 RS on order, house that I need to finish. These projects keep me so busy, FRS then SierraRS I've neglected the house.

If I had enough interest...I might part...otherwise need to find good donor that's worthy of the resurrection of one of the finest cars I've had

Drivers side...and yes the door is shut all the way...shows the twist in body...when looking from back of car, I can tell the roof line higher on pass side

The landscaping I did..entrance side

...exit side and the intersection I took the HAARD left hander
